ABS October Challenge as simple as can be......

I did not post in a very long time
and I did not participate in any challenges ....
but it is time to return ...

And I made a very simple style necklace with art beads and leather for this months challenge !
All from nature..clay and leather  :-)

Simple.... actually because Im somtimes thinking jewelry is getting to complicated with all this mixed media out there...

focal I made myself  in ceramic
and the bigger beads are made by Nan Emmet at Spirited earth
smaller beads from blueberriebeads
and flower Raku fired beads by Dorcas at Wondrousstrange designs
deer skin is hand cut by a friend in US

And this is the art that inspired me
 I do love it !!

Owl on Gingko Branch (Scops Owl Under Crescent Moon) 1915

Ohara Koson

Woodblock Print on Paper

I did get a heart attack in August ( I could never have guessed... as Im not the type for that.. slim no high blood pressure or anything..  but stress is a dangerous thing and I have had plenty of that for many years)
Most problems I have now is with the ulcers from the meds they gave me at hospital
so Im still far from my  "normal" me..
lost over 14 pounds and was slim before
but Im slowly getting stronger and have been able to create a little...

Thank You for stopping by

much love

Bead Hoarders Blog Hop reveal

Welcome to the Bead Hoarders Blog Hop !!
About 167  of us showing some things we do if we actually use the beads :-)

I want to thank Lori Anderson again for being such a great host for those hops and  opportunities to play along with other designers over the world !
Stay strong we need and love You !!

As usual I did not make the things I intended so some of the used stash is old and some new....

First out a pair of earrings with my handmade ceramic triangle beads with feathers  + Czech glass and linen ...copper wires. I have lots of my own beads hoarding in drawers and still want to use other designers beads too...

Necklace with amazing Quartz stone point and polymer art bead in front ( I did buy that art bead very long ago so no shop name sorry). Lots of silk ( I have so much silk to use !) and cords  small beads (Czech and pearls) sewn into the silk around the neck. Closes with another raw quartz at the side as a button. Czech beads are great to use every where!
here are  earrings to match the necklace with those spectacular raw Quartz points and vintage beads (sterling ear wires made by myself) Those quartz points are double or multi terminated so they have nice strong energies :-)
I have a lovely selection of vintage beads that need to be used

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Lots of earrings in this post ......

like those with Czech glass new style....hard to resist those beads on the fabulous pictures in the shops .......eeeeekkk

and this pair with gorgeous Swarovski faceted big guys and Titanium plated Quartz
+ handmade ox. copper wires with beads on
My stash of Swarovski beads is not small and I rarely use them those days as my jewelry is turning more and more tribal..

One more Talisman necklace, this one  with lots of goddies from Petra! I got a package Yesterday from her and just had to make something at once :-) Love her ceramic charms
added some Czech beads and Botswana agate ....can be worn long or wrapped like this!(good to use some of my horded chain too..this is a fantastic raw brass chain ..added some ox)

Those earrings have some more from her shop...lovely  wood looking shards ;-)  had to use them too...+ wooden beads and red lampwork. I have lots of nice lampwork in my drawers. Some made by my dear friends over seas !

Recently made earrings with lampwork and crystal points (have a thing for points at the moment  lol  You may have noticed )  my own 2 favo pairs at the moment

and finally.... a color-boost with silk and Jade for my daughter Lina, color and flower lover, who left Sweden for New Zealand a few weeks ago. Working as fire engineer constructing at the rebuilding of the town Christchurch. She left in beginning of Swedish summer and landed in darkest winter down under. (though I must say their winter is like our spring over here )
Those are not finished and I may make some more for the stack........

I was planning to make more jewelry  but am very busy with garden and house at the moment ...here some nice things I will use soon..
Scarab pendant from my friend Dorcas (making a necklace for men)  and a huge Basha bead....big hollow bead from Claire..... some  ancient roman glass ... and brass bells

I will soon start a HUGE destash sale  in my Etsy shop AngelWhisperer

I have a sale in my shops too right now !
If You visit You can use the coupon code
HORDERS   to get 25 %  off  :-)
only during the weekend ! Thank You very much for visiting !

                   bead -hoarders  :-)

(who does not love pearls)

closing up on the reveal date for the  bead hoarders blog hop  on SATURDAY    June  20

Lori our host is not well at the moment so send her some healing thoughts !!
Maybe the date will be changed but I have not heard anything about that yet!!

(or stones)

I have not made much yet as overwhelmed by the garden and house (needs painting here and there) ....
But I think I will pick some favos from the stash to work with :-)

(who does not need bone)
Still some listings to do on Etsy and cleaning of the working space before  making the jewelry ...

( I think I lost a bit control over my stash when starting making those ceramic beads)  piling up !!

(Guess I need some cord to pull it all together ;-o)

Also there will be a sale when the blog hop is ON so keep an eye in my shops

much love

Art Jewelry Elements May Challenge and blog hop

I was one of the lucky winners of a bead from Susan Kennedy  in the Art Jewelry Elements May challenge
and I got this pretty little disc bead to work with :-)  Thank You SUSAN !!

I decided  to make a pair of earrings ...
and as I just got my hands on some nice crystal points I wanted to add them of course

First try was with metal wire but I changed that idea and wanted to use soft cord instead as a contrast to the sharp points..
Waxed linen  and some Czech glass and tribal handmade beads were added...and more lampwork beads made by my friend Cece Cormier  (Thank You again!)

Now I have to decide if to use them myself or list them in my Etsy store ......

Thank You for stopping by and have fun looking at what the other winners made of their beads
Much Love  Birgitta

7th Bead Soup Blog Party REVEAL 1

WELCOME,
now it is time again  for this  h u g e  event with participating jewelry artists from all over the world just in the beginning of spring (over here)

I have not shown myself on the Pinterest and other forums due to health issues and most of all LOTS !  of internet problems ( like right now it took me 1,5 hour just to get 7 pictures into this post )

A BIG thank You and many warm HUGS to
LORI ANDERSON   and team  ( You did it again !) the amazingly dedicated host of this multiple blog hop that starts today and with the third and last hop reveal  April?
As Lori is not well the second and third reveal are moved forward !!  This flower is for Lori and hope she will feel better soon and get some sleep !

And to my very talented and warm-hearted partner
DINI BRUISMA  from Holland. She makes stunning   lampwork beads for sure ! On her blog You can see what she made of the soup she got from me  :-)

a picture of the gorgeous mix she sent  :

Starting off with the BLUE my first jewelry piece showed is a Talisman and healing necklace with that amazing  Kyanite focal I got from Dini. Kyanite is one of the most powerful healing-stone and it does not take on any negative energies ever... they say...
As usual I started out with a complete different idea how to use it with macrame and linen but this is was had to be done ...
(I do not argue much with the muse and angels )

The pendant is based on a copper "ring" with  inscription made by fellow Etsy  artist  and arceologist  Tiina
In the dangle You find that  gorgeous  Kyanite stone, vintage horse head  (gift from a dear friend in US), vintage bell charm (from a friend in Australia), vintage Religious medal, african metal beads, bone different styles, pearl, rhinestone spacer ball and ethnic glass beads.
As usual not only this blog hop is worldwide but the ingredients in my jewelry comes from all over  !

After finishing what I had planned  to do I sat down playing around with what is left of the soup..... and those earrings created themselves  with connectors in silver color from Dini´s mix , rhinestone spacers, sea sed. Jasper , wood, ethnic beads and Lapis Lazuli . Ear wires in sterling by myself.

And now over to the REDS
First thing I made when I got the beads from Dini was those earrings as I fell so much in love with her lovely lampwork beads and this triangular shape jummjumm
Added some ethnic beads, coral, Czech glass and my handmade ceramic daggers

Next is a matching pendant and leather necklace with one more of those lovely triangular lampwork beads, my ceramic old looking medal, coral and in the ends some bone and more coral. This is adjustable with a sliding bead in ancient look Czech glass...(leather is hand cut and dyed in the US)

....and a bracelet !
Dinis lovely lampwork is the focal and I added some of her lovely stones (agate, coral, rock crystal), my ceramic flower button, lots of handmade ethnic style glass beads, sea themed charms and a matte silver finish lobster to close behind the button

with (almost) matching earrings. I did get a bit obsessed with that triangular shape so I made some triangular beads and charms in clay. Here a pair of red ones with fragments of a butterfly, faceted Pyrite beads from Dini and some ethnic style glass beads

Finally  .....what became of the clasp this time.....
A Yoga inspired leather bracelet with my ceramic bead, Czech glass beads large hole, braided, natural and blue leather with a Buddha dangle ....

I do have some nice beads and stuff left from the soup so one more bracelet and some earrings are on the way...  :-)

This is on my bead table ....fantastic Agate beads from the soup and my focal...not sure yet how it will turn out..

***********
During this first BSBP week  I have a 20% sale in my  Etsy shops. Go there to get the CODES  !!

Also I have a Give-Away of those ceramic art beads
one bracelet focal and one pendant in ancient green :

only thing You have to do is to write a comment to be in...
I will announce the winner after the party is "over"  in April

**********

Thank You very much for taking Your time to visit !!

Below is the complete list of today´s  participants  !!
I wish You an inspiring tour around the world of beaders
